Defra-approved for use in UK smoke control areas

Dimplex is expanding its range of smoke exempt solid fuel appliances with the introduction of the Westcott 5SE woodburning stove. Defra-approved for use in UK smoke control areas, the Westcott 5SE’s compact footprint makes it ideal for the smaller room.

The freestanding stove’s sturdy cast iron construction means that its small size nevertheless delivers top performance, with a tested heat output of 4.9kW and 72 percent efficiency.

The single door features a large window to give a clear view of the blazing flames, with an airwash system to keep the door glass clear. The stove is supplied with a choice of handles in black and in brushed steel to complement any setting.

The Westcott 5SE is designed with a top-mounted connection for a 5” flue and has no requirement for additional room ventilation. The stove comes with the backing of a leading name in heating and is tested and approved to European Standard EN13240 for safety and efficiency. This is in line with Dimplex’s policy of designing products to meet the most stringent of safety regulations which includes meeting the independently tested BEAB standards for the company’s award winning range of electric fires.

The Westcott 5SE’s dimensions are 540mm high x 434mm wide x 448mm deep with a net weight of 75kg. The stove is designed to retail at around £499.
