Wayne Hemmingway attends KBBG annual members’ conference

Conference hosted by Miele Company Limited

The annual members’ conference for the Kitchen Bathroom Buying Group (KBBG), the UK arm of DER KREIS buying group, was hosted by the Miele Company Limited at their spectacular Experience Centre in Abingdon.

The theme for the conference was SIMPLIFY; the focus on companies, collaboration and sustainability and highlighting the necessity for all parties along the value added chain to collaborate. Discussion was lively and fulfilling, and the highlight of the day was a thought-provoking and lively presentation by the founder of Hemingway Design, Wayne Hemingway MBE.

Attendees included independent kitchen specialists, suppliers from major kitchen furniture brands and appliance companies.  The members in attendance were offered exclusive offers, as part of the group’s dedication to supporting independent kitchen specialists by providing them with better margins through improved buying conditions.

The conference was jointly led by Marcel Crezee, CEO of DER KREIS, and Bill Miller, Managing Director of KBBG, providing the opportunity for members to discuss, and to take advantage of the many benefits available as part of the largest buying group in Europe.

Bill Miller said: “It was a magnificent day with members enjoying and experiencing the superb Miele facilities.  Wayne was inspirational, with many excellent analogies, as well as detailing his inspirational rise to prosperity, with the focus of ‘generosity’ as his mantra throughout his design philosophy.”

Bill concludes:  “The excellent relationship we have with our suppliers, and our organisational buying power, benefit all our members and affords the independent kitchen specialist the opportunity to realise the very best buying conditions.  The process is simple and easy and opens the field to a large and desirable supply chain that strengthens the UK independents’ advantage and helps them grow their business in the market.”
