Steve Smith will oversee the expanding portfolio of quality new homes developments

Local homebuilder David Wilson Homes East Midlands has appointed a new Sales Director to oversee its expanding portfolio of quality new homes developments.

Steve Smith joined the Bardon-based company in 2011 as a Sales Manager, and has risen rapidly through the ranks, earning a promotion to Senior Sales Manager before being appointed to his new role.

He has already had a long and varied career in the housing industry, having worked for several other developers, as well as an estate agency in Lincoln, and will now be responsible for managing teams at developments across the division in areas including Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Warwickshire and Lincolnshire.

Steve, from Newark in Nottinghamshire, said; “It was the customer-centric focus of the company and its ability to continue evolving and adapting to the ever-changing marketplace which made me want to join David Wilson Homes.

This is a fantastic time to be working in the home building industry, and David Wilson Homes is one of the most respected premium brands in the country. I have built up a great deal of knowledge about the industry and out product over my years in the company and now really relish the opportunity to use this knowledge  to create an even better experience for our customers.”

John Reddington, Managing Director of David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said “Steve has proved himself time and again since starting with us, and his drive and dedication to customers and staff make him an excellent choice for our new Sales Director. We wish him all the best in his new role.”

A well-established homebuilder, David Wilson Homes prides itself on building exceptional homes in the finest locations and has recently been awarded the maximum five-star rating in a customer satisfaction survey ran by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for a fifth consecutive year.
