Local joinery business reaches 25 year milestone

Westbury Garden Rooms celebrates 25 years of trading this year

Local company Westbury Garden Rooms celebrates 25 years of trading this year. With over 1,000 timber conservatories, orangeries, garden rooms and pool houses designed and built across Essex and the Home Counties, Westbury has grown into a multiple million pound organisation employing over 50 local people from across the county.

In 2011 a name change from Westbury Conservatories to Westbury Garden Rooms heralded a new era in the company. The traditional fully glazed conservatory was in decline, making way for more functional and versatile Orangeries and Garden Rooms. The brand has gone from strength to strength and has now expanded into the luxury window and doors market, specified by architects and developers across the UK.

Major investment throughout 2012 saw new premises with offices, workshop and showrooms and a move to South Woodham Ferrers.

Managing Director and founder Jonathan Hey said: “Running a successfully business isn’t about counting the money in the till, it’s about looking at the detail to improve and becoming more efficient as you go. Service is key, and testament to that is much of work comes from recommendation”.
