New homes selling fast…

All across the South East in Sussex, Kent, Surrey and Hampshire, Hillreed Homes, private developers of some 35 years standing, have been reporting excellent sales levels at their developments.

“We have found a steady stream of buyers, for properties in all price ranges, many of whom are cash” says Jo Richards, Marketing and Corporate Manager at Hillreed Homes.

“Downsizing is one of the main reasons for the rise in the number of cash buyers in the market place for a new home; we have a diverse range of properties for sale allowing our customers plenty of choice when they move from their family homes into new low maintenance, energy efficient properties, which leave them the time to enjoy their hard earned weekends. Property prices are also helping the excellent sales levels, which following a recession are now at a good stable level.

With the Bank of England talking of keeping rates low, or even dropping, it is possible that mortgages will remain at figures that make an investment in bricks and mortar too tempting to resist.

It gives a buyer peace of mind owning a home with a 10 year build guarantee, and with busy lives, a brand new property is very attractive as our sales figures are showing”.

Currently Hillreed has just one house remaining at Pease Pottage which is ideally located in a semi rural idyll just a few minutes drive from Gatwick airport, Crawley town, and the M23.

Star Place, Black Swan Close, Pease Pottage has the Amberley house type which has been specifically designed by an architect for its imposing location, It has a South West facing rear garden and a garage plus additional parking spaces. The house is on the market for £409,950

The property is offered with Stamp Duty Paid, a superb saving for any buyer or Part Exchange can be considered.

In Ditchling, there is also just one house remaining, and this is the show home. Emett Gardens is just off East End Lane. The house is available at £1,200,000 and includes fitted carpets, curtains light fittings and a fully landscaped rear garden. There is a part exchange facility in operation subject to the usual terms and conditions or currently there is an opportunity to take advantage of a “Stamp Duty Paid” offer.

Other areas within Sussex and Surrey where new homes are being marketed or due to be launched shortly include Hassocks, Hailsham and Godalming. At Ashtead, already 50% of the site is sold.

“It is a good sign for everyone that property sales are on the move”, concluded Jo. “New homes help the economy enormously, and in 2012 there has been a noticeable rise in buyers able to complete.
