Eurocell, part of the Tessenderlo Group, has agreed a deal to distribute the latest range of Yale cylinder and multipoint locks through its branches nationwide.
The new, intelligently designed Yale Anti-Snap cylinder, available in all 120-plus Eurocell Building Plastics branches, provides a defence mechanism against all forms of attack and meets Euro Profile Cylinder Standards. The built-in features include anti-drill, anti-snap, anti-pick and anti-bump features.
Providing the latest in high security, it offers three lines of defence. The first is a snap-off front section of the cylinder to give intruders less to grip, second is hardened grip-deflectors that make gripping the rest of the cylinder difficult. Finally, a hardened reinforced bar is designed not to snap, but flex, which will deter the majority of intruders.
The cylinder not only meets the British Standard Kitemark, but it has passed the Sold Secure SS312 Diamond Standard, which is endorsed by the Master Locksmith Association and recognised as being the hardest attack test for euro profile cylinders. The Yale Anti-Snap cylinder is one of only two cylinders to pass this new, enhanced test.
Eurocell will also be offering Yale Doormaster™, an innovative product range designed to fit almost all multi-point locks with 35mm and 45mm backsets and 16mm or 20mm faceplates – a breakthrough for installers because it avoids them having to source bespoke locks and facilitates a ‘one call, one repair’ solution.
The innovative Yale Doormaster™ multipoint lock range is available through select branches nationally and customers are asked to check with their local branch for availability.
Yale Doormaster™ provides a convenient and easy method of replacing a damaged lock or upgrading existing door security. The patented pre-assembled ‘Uni-packer’ system on variants ensures that Doormaster™ replacement locks can be fitted to any PVC-U profile without the need for loose plastic packers.
The low level of security on standard euro profile cylinder locks means that many doors are vulnerable to bumping or snapping – allowing burglars to gain entry in seconds – and more insurance companies are now specifying that high performance locks such as Yale Anti-Snap Cylinder are fitted before paying out claims.
