Business is booming for Designer Contracts, the UK’s leading supplier of floorcoverings to the new build sector, as figures show a 40 per cent growth in the past two years.
As a result the company has taken on an additional five senior members of staff, bringing the total number of new senior employees recruited this year to eight and total staff employed with the company to 180.
The expanding southern region will be the greatest beneficiary with two new members joining the team. They are Gary Leiper as area manager and David Haines as area sales coordinator.
Also joining the business is Maha Khaliq-Bye as design sales manager for the showhome division, covering the whole of the south of England. Sally Prop has joined as area sales co-ordinator in the south east region and Simon Tucker as sales manager who is based in the Central region.

All five new recruits have extensive knowledge within the floorcoverings and design industry with over 84 years combined experience.
The company has fully staffed offices and warehousing in 12 regions across the UK. As well as flooring, the company supply curtain, blind, furniture and lighting packs to the new-build industry and has a full show-home interior design service.
