A2Dominion, a leading residential property group in London and the South East, will soon boast Gigabit broadband connectivity in their homes.

Residents in developments of over 50 units will have access to the ultrafast service on the day they move into their home. Hyperoptic, the UK’s leading Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband provider, has been selected to provide the service.

Hyperoptic is setting the industry gold standard for fibre broadband in the UK. As the company installs its fibre all the way into the building, it can enable symmetrical Gigabit speeds of 1,000Mpbs.

At over 30x faster than the average speed a UK consumer receives today, Gigabit broadband from Hyperoptic revolutionises the way residents can use the Internet – HD movies can be downloaded in seconds and 4K content can be downloaded in minutes.

Initially Hyperoptic’s full fibre broadband and telephone services will be installed across 43 sites within the A2Dominion property portfolio, which includes existing and new sites, with installation already underway.

Doreen Wright, Group Development Director at A2Dominion, comments: “In the past we’ve had very little control over what broadband and telephone services our residents could opt for. It was a broadband postcode lottery depending on the available existing broadband infrastructure at each site.

“Our larger sites will now have the best available telecoms connectivity thanks to our collaboration with Hyperoptic, giving our residents the best possible solution for all their broadband and telephone needs.”

David Walker, Head of Property, Hyperoptic, adds: “Digital infrastructure is now on par with physical. Having fast and reliable broadband just isn’t something they can compromise on – it’s an essential utility that affects their quality of life.

“The property sector understands this; which is why we work alongside the biggest and best property companies in the UK and why we have become standard addition to the scheme designs of many of the larger developers. We are thrilled to add A2Dominion to this coveted list and look forward to the resident feedback as we roll our service across its portfolio.”

Hyperoptic is already available to consumers and businesses across 20 cities and towns across the UK. In July 2016 the European Investment Bank agreed to provide £21 million for investment by Hyperoptic – its largest ever dedicated backing for an Internet network investment in the UK.
