Optima announced as CCS member

Leading designer and manufacturer of partitioning systems, Optima, has become a member of the Considerate Constructor’s Scheme (CCS), the national scheme established by the construction industry to improve its image.

The company’s membership demonstrates its commitment to improving the image of the industry through registering a number of sites with the scheme and performing to a consistently high level.

Commenting on the CCS Membership, Chris Pool, Contracts Director at Optima said: “We are delighted to become part of the scheme, as the values at the heart of the scheme are a core part of our ethos. Optima is committed to playing a part in improving the image of the construction industry and reducing the impact on the local community and wider environment where it works.”

The CCS was established in 1997 with the explicit intention of improving the image of construction. It operates a voluntary ‘Code of Considerate Practice’, which projects and companies registered with the scheme agree to uphold. The code commits participants to enhance the appearance of its sites and facilities, respect the community, protect the environment, secure everyone’s safety and care for the workforce. The CCS is an independent, non-profit-making organisation – financed solely through registrations.
