Leading homebuilder, David Wilson Homes, is set to donate more than £200,000 in support of local projects in East Goscote, Leicestershire, thanks to its latest new homes development, Rearsby Roses.
The funding, which totals £208,875, comes as part of the initial planning agreement with Charnwood Borough Council and is being given by the homebuilder to support community investment for both new and existing residents.
The homebuilder will be contributing towards educational facilities, the development of local healthcare and policing services, the enhancement of local bus stops, provision for new bus shelters and maintaining public open spaces.
John Reddington, Managing Director of David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “We aim to contribute a great deal to the local area through the development of Rearsby Roses, both in terms of the high-quality homes we are building and the jobs we will be creating.
“We strongly believe that community development is one of the most important aspects of any new housing development and we hope that these financial contributions will go a long way towards improving the lives of people who live in the local area.”
Specific contributions include :
• Education – £110,130.96
• Healthcare services – £14,024
• Public open spaces – £42,360
• Police services – £25,253
• Bus stop enhancement and provision for new shelters – £17,062
