Industrial styling inspires Impey’s latest wetroom panel innovation

The new ‘Soho’ range, available exclusively from specialist wetroom manufacturer Impey, marries high-specification functionality with on-trend aesthetics to offer a unique, design-led panel option for wetrooms and shower areas.

Characterised by unrefined aesthetics and the use of aging metalwork, bare concrete and exposed brickwork, the industrial interiors trend draws on the unfinished, utilitarian style of factory and warehouse conversions, to bring an element of stripped back, salvaged allure into the modern interior of homes and living spaces.

Previewed for the first time at the recent KBB2018 exhibition in Birmingham, the ‘Soho’ wetroom panel is inspired by the trend for urban styling and industrial partitioning. The high-quality aluminium-framed ‘Soho’ shower screen is powder coated in jet black boasting rustic exposed framework throughout to enhance the panel’s authentic rugged appeal.

This stylish, design-led screen incorporates purposely visible screws creating an unfinished aesthetic, integrated splash gaskets, completely concealed hinges and 15-20mm adjustment option, ensuring that the product is as versatile as it is attractive.

Epitomising a raw, industrial style, the new ‘Soho’ panel range incorporates exposed aluminium frames on the outside of the unit only; with the wet side benefitting from a fully-flush surface to ensure ease of cleaning. In addition, the 8mm toughened safety glass is treated with an easy clean coating, to inhibit the build up of dirt and ensure it needs to be cleaned up to 50% less often.

As part of Impey’s complete wetroom solutions portfolio, ‘Soho’ is available exclusively from selected bathroom retailers. ‘Soho’ appeals to a wide-ranging audience; from trend-conscious home-owners, high-end property developers and style-savvy hoteliers. Standing at 210mm high the configurations include single pivot door (alcove), pivot door with fixed panel as well as a variety of return and walk in panels.

Chris Kingaby, Impey’s Product Director said: “The new ‘Soho’ range offers a fresh and innovative shower screen option, enabling a current and growing interior trend to be incorporated into a bathroom environment. A ‘Soho’ panel or door will enhance every kind of showering space from an open-plan loft to a compact hotel wetroom; offering a much-welcomed alternative to a plain glass shower screen.

“The superior manufacture and authenticity of design of the ‘Soho’ range ensures that it really does stand out from the crowd. The response that the range received at KBB2018 was marvellous, with potential stockists and specifiers enthused by the attention to detail; particularly the powder-coated aluminium panel features and the clever concealed hinges. We can certainly see the range becoming incredibly popular and have already had great success with display orders.”
