Spring is here, which means it’s the best time to get going on some of those home improvement, repair and DIY projects you’ve been putting off all winter.  Whether you’re updating, renovating or extending your home, it is important to have support and guidance from a trusted source of local firms and expert tradespeople.

TrustMark, the Government-endorsed scheme for tradespeople, will be at the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show this week (14-17 April) advising householders of the benefits of using reputable local tradespeople who have been vetted and inspected to work on their properties.

With over 32,000 people expected to attend over the four days, TrustMark will be exhibiting at the NEC, Birmingham to raise awareness of the scheme to both homeowners and the trade.  A raffle, which is sponsored by TrustMark’s Scheme Operators – the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), the British Board of Agrement (BBA) and National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT) – will take place on the stand with a selection of prizes ranging from an iPad Mini, Fortnum and Mason hamper to bottles of champagne.

Simon Ayers, Chief Executive of TrustMark, said: “The National Homebuilding & Renovating Show is unique as it is the UK’s biggest self-build and renovating event and it will be an invaluable opportunity for us to communicate with householders and guide them through finding the right tradespeople for jobs in their homes. By providing advice, we can be a trusted avenue for support as and when needed and provide homeowners with extra security, the reassurances they are looking for and the confidence that they are working with tradespeople who are the best in the business.”

All TrustMark firms’ work to Government-endorsed standards and are uniquely checked for three cornerstones of quality – their trading practices, customer service and their technical skills.  TrustMark continues to expand its database of over 13,000 individual firms in the UK, providing national coverage with more than 21,000 licenced trades searchable on its database.

Come and visit TrustMark on Stand E106 at the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show.
