SDL Auction North West presents new buy-to-let opportunities

Buy-to-let investors were given plenty to choose from at SDL Auctions North West’s auction at Chester Racecourse on Tuesday 30 October.

The first lot to go under the hammer was Glo Na Mara in Penrhos – a spacious four bedroomed Victorian home with sea views set on a large plot less than two miles from nearby Pwllheli.

The property is in need of improvement and renovation, but still holds some original period features such as fireplaces, while boasting a separate garage, paved driveway with gates, ample parking for multiple vehicles and gardens surrounding the house.

Requiring less work was a one bedroomed mid-terraced property in Huddersfield which is currently let out at an annual rental of £4,740 per annum.

Another home featured was 6 Clove Lane in Lache, near Chester – a traditional three bedroomed semi-detached property located close to the city centre.

Ideal for a larger family, Ty Draw Farm in Village Road, Nercwys, is a stone-built Grade II Long House believed to date back to the 1600s. The four bedroomed farmhouse required modernisation and refurbishment throughout but still held many of its original features, appealing to auction visitors.

Another buy-to-let opportunity was available in Liverpool at 11 Wood Lane in Huyton – a three bedroomed semi-detached property which is currently vacant but has been rented out for many years.

Finally, a three bedroomed Victorian end terraced property at 84 Gladstone Road in the popular garden district of Chester was also featured during the event.

Debs Latham, head of residential auctions (North West) at SDL Auctions, said: “We had a very good selection of potential investment properties from the ready to move in to those that require more work before they can be let, all providing excellent opportunities for those seeking to add to their buy-to-let portfolio.”
