Waterstone Homes return to Swansea with Copper Beeches development

Welsh property developer, Waterstone Homes, is set to make a return to housebuilding in Swansea after three years, with a new luxury residential scheme on the outskirts of the city.

Following the success of its Howell’s Reach development in Derwen Fawr, which sold out in just six months, the high-end housebuilder has confirmed a second Swansea location after securing another sought after site in the region.

The housebuilder has introduced affordable homes with lower starting prices than its first city development, in response to customer feedback.

Set in the affluent and cosmopolitan suburb of Killay, the development, named Copper Beeches, will consist of nine four and five-bedroom family homes, incorporating a mix of semi-detached and detached properties.

Each home will feature open plan layouts, including Amtico flooring and modern kitchens with NEFF appliances. The development is located near to the city centre and key transport links, with close proximity to the coast, the Mumbles and countryside – all less than ten minutes away.

Waterstone Homes last built homes in the city in 2016, when it completed Howell’s Reach, a development of 17 four and five-bedroom family homes.

Andrea Gardner, Sales and Marketing Director at Waterstone Homes, commented: “We are thrilled to be returning to Swansea for our next development. Our first collection of properties in Howell’s Reach received an excellent response from the public and proved to be one of our most popular schemes to date, a testament to the strength of the property market in the Swansea area.

“From fantastic shopping and dining, stunning countryside, great transport links and good schools, universities and employment opportunities, Swansea has everything you could possibly want and need. It’s an incredible city, which is why we chose to build in the area once again.

“We’re excited to see the development take shape over the coming months and to replicate our previous success with Copper Beeches. Our homes have also performed better than other properties on the market so a new home at Killay could be a great investment opportunity. We look forward to welcoming new homeowners to the area and hope they enjoy the wonderful community we will develop here.”

Work on the properties is due to break ground in January, with the homes expected to be completed and available in the autumn of 2019.
