The Woodpecker Way
Woodpecker’s heritage in the timber industry dates back three generations. Our company was founded in 1975 by a skilled craftsman who loved teaching people how to work with wood. The tradition was carried on and the focus turned to woodworking machinery.
In 2003, that huge reserve of woodworking and mechanical experience was applied to manufacturing high quality flooring. Understanding the different tree species, honing the grading process, and using centuries old techniques combined with advanced manufacturing to expertly finish every floor – these are the skills our company has worked hard to perfect over the years.

Looking after the environment is important to us, so we only use wood with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forests) certification. By sourcing timber responsibly, we can guarantee our suppliers are operating within the law, without harming forest environments and communities.

Selecting, stacking, drying, kilning, cutting and finishing – at every stage of the process we aim to produce the toughest flooring and back this up with a 25 year warranty. The result is flooring that will bring a warm and radiant atmosphere to customers’ homes now, and for years to come.
